A new structure crafted around an artists’ process, context, and creativity.
The floor plan brings in natural light bounced off of adjacent walls and screened by wood louvers. The artist can move her work throughout the space and step back for study and perspective.
A decorative wood screen shrouds the entrance for solar shading in the afternoon and defining a graceful path to enter the sacred space.
Inside, the vaulted roof peaks over the area where painting occurs and high clerestory windows bring in morning light while affording working wall space.
